What is the Gospel? The Gospel is that wonderful, awe-inspiring, sin-shattering, truth-proclaiming, justice-naming, grace-filled message of the good news of God to a sinful and broken humanity. Humanity had sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, yet the Lord remained faithful to His creation, even though His creation did not stay faithful to Him. This Gospel is the message that God saw a people who could not save themselves, and Who decided to take on human nature and live the perfect life that we could not live. Greater still, this same God who lived a sinless life as Man was then crucified, taking the punishment of all of humanity onto Himself so that all who believe in Him would NOT perish, but would have everlasting life. This is the Gospel which so beautifully undoes you in Mercy and remakes you in Grace.
